Search tips
To start a search you should select either Advertising Standards Board determinations or Advertising Claims Board determinations from the menu on the left.
Tips for Advertising Standards Board searches
To find case reports about Advertising Standards Board determinations you can search in a number of ways.
1. Search (browse) by date
This search allows you to select any month and receive a search result that displays the cases considered by the Advertising Standards Board during that specific month.
To open any case reports in your list of search results, just click on the link in the Ref# column of the search result table and the case report will open.
If you use the Browse by date option, the search results for the current month may list cases which have not yet been finalised. If a case has not been finalised, the case report will not be available. Cases are made available as soon as the reports are finalised.
2. Search by specific case report
If you know the case reference number you can search for a specific case report by entering the case report number in search field using the following formats.
For case reports from 1999 through to case number 131 of 2010 the format is xxx/yy.
The format for case reports from number 132 of 2010 onwards is 0xxx/yy.
The case report matching your search request will be displayed in the search results field.
Just click on the link in the Ref# column of the search result table and the case report will open.
3. Search by advertiser name
By entering an advertiser name in search field, all cases matching your search request will be displayed in the search results field.
To open any case reports in your list of search results, just click on the link in the Ref# column of the search result table and the case report will open.
4. Advanced search option
You can search for cases meeting a range of search criteria.
To do this first clear any entry in search text box and then choose your criteria. Your search results can be grouped in a number of ways.
